Richard E. Pelzer II, President & CEO of MEGA Personalities a Business Development Management Firm founded by him in 1994 based in New York City, the Founder of Harlem2020 and the Emerging Marketing Director of Lemon Brands. A graduate from Kent State University in Ohio, with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Art History and Business management, Pelzer's strong leadership skills and creative vision assist clients with national and international business opportunities, develops and manages them for clients in the fashion, beauty and/or entertainment industries.
Clients included; The NYSE Diversity Council, Sephora, Essence Magazine, Walker International Communications Group, SlayTV, and the March On Washington Film Festival. He prides himself on the ability to cultivate creative partnerships and long lasting relationship to stay within budget in our current economic climate. His latest venture is Executive Producer of the film 90 DAYS written by Nathan Hale Williams.

It takes a 'Village' to raise the beautiful neighborhood of Harlem which is located in the northern section of the New York City borough of Manhattan. Since the 1920s, Harlem has been known as a major African-American residential, cultural and business center. African-American residents began to arrive en masse in 1905, with numbers fed by the Great Migration. In the 1920s and 1930s, Central and West Harlem were the focus of the "Harlem Renaissance", an outpouring of artistic work without precedent in the American black community.
Though Harlem musicians and writers are particularly well remembered, the community has also hosted numerous actors and theater companies. Religious life has historically had a strong presence in Black Harlem. The area is home to over 400 churches. In 1910, 10% of Harlem's population was black but by 1930, they had become a 70% majority. The period between 1910 and 1930 marks a huge point in the great migration of African Americans from the South to New York. The black population in Harlem peaked in 1950 with a 98% share of the population (population 233,000)
In 2020, Harlem will celebrate the 100 year of the Harlem Renaissance. Local merchants and business leaders are proud to continue the legacy. Harlem2020NYC plans to develop, highlight, and promote the business community taking root in the area.
